BADER B-Green is a concept to manufacture automotive leather with utmost care for environmental protection and social responsibility.

This comprises every aspect of the leather making process - not only the tanning material. Only renewable materials in the tanning process are used. With B‑Green, Bader constantly ensures the lowest possible environmental impact of the leather making process.

Our Vision

We use renewable materials. Our residues are used as raw material for other industries. Our byproducts are reuseable. Our materials come from organic and vegetable derivate.

Water efficiency

We also can save up to 40 % of water in the production since we developed a process that combines traditional and modern manufacturing methods.

Natural tanning mix

Vegetable tanning is the ideal method for B-Green leather. Our vegetable mix is made solely of shells & pods. All our tanning materials do not harm any ecological system.

Use of Cascara

New and unique is the use of the coffee fruit shell. Thousands of families depend on the farming, harvesting and making of coffee. Yet only the coffee beans are of interest. The shells are mostly just waste. BADER uses these shells and turns them into a tanning powder. We call it Cascara.

BADER acquires these dried shells locally from indigenous farmers in Mexico, Ethiopia, China and Thailand. This way, we provide a second income as the farmers now can sell the beans and the shells as well. That is why B‑Green leather from BADER combines the environmental protection with social responsibility.

Cascara

Coffee is harvested as a fruit. That is the bean and the pulp with a shell. The shell is of no particular interest to any industry.

Only Nature

The dryed shell is made into a tanning powder. We only use shells to make B-Green leather.

Social Responsibility

Coffee cultivation is one of the main activities of indigenous Mexican, Ethiopian, Chinese and Thai Farmers. BADER likes to act locally. We support the local farmers. Now they can sell the beans and the rest of the coffee fruit as well.
